Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of directly related experience.
• Valid CDL-B license is required.
• Candidates must own their own tools.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read and follow instructions.
• Able to work irregular hours and travel on short notice.
• Resident within one hour drive of Abilene, TX.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety practices and procedures on site.
• Open switches or attach grounding devices to remove hazards.
• Climb poles and use bucket trucks to access equipment.
• Maintain and repair overhead and underground distribution systems.
• Inspect power lines and equipment to locate problems.
• Splice cables and lay underground or overhead lines as needed.
• Coordinate work with other crew members and supervisors.
