Job summary

Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, FL is seeking a professional Server to support high-volume dining operations and provide exceptional guest service. You will take orders, prepare beverages, and ensure guests have a premium experience in a country club setting.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of server experience in upscale environments, strong guest service skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience as a Server in a country club or upscale dining.
• Exceptional guest service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively during the shift.
• Ability to stand, bend and move during the shift.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform tasks for high-volume presetting, serving, and resetting rooms for food service.
• Prepare high-quality beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, on request.
• Take orders and serve members/guests per club standards and local/state laws.
• Monitor members and guests for safety.
• Assist members with menu knowledge, specials, and features.

Job Summary:

• Assists and performs all tasks associated with high volume facility presetting, serving, and resetting rooms where food service activities are performed.
• Prepares high-quality beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to order upon request.
• Proficiently take orders and serve members/guests according to Plantation Golf & Country Club standards and all local and state legal guidelines.
• Monitors members and their guests to ensure safety.
• Assists members with menu knowledge, specials and features.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One + years experience as a Server in a country club, upscale hotel, or upscale dining environment.
• Exceptional guest service skills.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during the entire shift.
• Ability to push, pull or otherwise move portable bar units from storage area to functional areas.
• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Certifications: "TIPS" or equivalent responsible vendor training, ServSafe training.
