Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks an experienced surgeon for inpatient and outpatient rounds in Mississippi. The assignment requires laparoscopic surgery, trauma skills, and proficiency with ventilation management, chest tubes, central lines, and PA catheters.

Beeper calls with 30-minute response, ~5 patients per shift, 4 phone consults and 3 admissions daily. Travel and housing prepaid; 24/7 consultant access and competitive compensation are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient and outpatient rounding.
• Ability to perform laparoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Beeper call with 30-minute response time.
• Average 5 patients per shift; 4 phone consults and 3 admissions daily.
• Inpatient and outpatient rounding required.
• Adult population only; pediatric and neonatal not required.
• Perform laparoscopic surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty).
• Trauma surgery, chest tube, central line, and PA catheter skills required.
• Ventilation management and sigmoidoscopy required.
• Complete assignment details and time entry in online portal.
