Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey seeks an Architecture and Engineering (A/E) Program Manager to oversee design and construction delivery for major capital projects, including Midtown Bus Terminal and Hudson Tunnels. The role supports planning, design, and delivery across stages 1–5, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.

Reporting to the Program Director, MCP, you will assist with design submissions, project controls, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in A/E design and project management applications.
• Three years of supervisory experience or indirect supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall management and coordination of A/E project activities through full lifecycle.
• Support Project Manager in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop, monitor, and update project scope, schedules, budgets and milestones.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders across all phases.
• Review design submissions and deliverables at each stage of design process.
• Prepare project status reports, meeting minutes, and management communications.
• Assist with design coordination meetings, progress reviews, and technical assessments.
• Support closeout activities including final documentation and lessons learned.
