Job summary

Far East Motors in Silver Spring, Maryland, seeks an experienced Automotive Technician to join its team. The shop specializes in Honda, Acura, Toyota, and Lexus and offers an hourly pay rate plus production bonuses, with earning potential up to $120k.

The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, with 40-50 hours per week and a rotating Saturday schedule. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid training, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years automotive repair experience for B-Level, or 6 years for A-Level.
• Strong diagnostic skills across drivability, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with factory-style maintenance, inspections, brake service, suspension work, tires, and alignments.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, mechanical concerns.
• Perform factory-style maintenance, inspections, brake service, suspension repairs, tire service, and wheel alignments.
• Diagnose electrical systems and complete appropriate electrical repairs.
• Use Autel, AutoLogic, Snap-on, Matco, and Launch scan tools for diagnostics.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and document findings accurately.
• Prepare repair estimates based on inspection and diagnostic findings; parts ordering is handled separately.
• Service primarily Honda, Acura, Toyota, and Lexus vehicles while working on additional vehicles as needed.
• Work toward the shop's production expectation of approximately 75% of clocked hours.
