Job summary

Optimize Auto in Orem, Utah, is hiring experienced A- and B-Level Automotive Technicians. This Monday–Friday role pays $30–$50 per flagged hour with production bonuses and an annual earning potential of $85k–$115k+ for A-Level and $60k–$95k for B-Level, based on production.

Bi-weekly pay, health stipend, and growth benefits are provided. The shop has three bays with three lifts, a fourth soon, and uses Autel diagnostic equipment and Tekmetric for digital inspections.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience required.
• Independent repair ability for A- or B-Level tech.
• Intermediate to advanced diagnostic skills.
• Electrical diagnostic and repair experience preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred; ASE reimbursement available.
• Experience with scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Must provide personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, drivability, and electrical concerns across domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles.
• Perform intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostics using scan tools, including Autel MaxiSys equipment.
• Complete general repair, preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, and component replacement work.
• Perform major repairs such as head gasket replacement, transmission swaps, and engine removal and replacement.
• Troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and complete electrical repairs based on diagnostic findings.
• Prepare repair estimates while coordinating with the shop on recommended work; parts ordering is handled separately.
• Document inspections, findings, and repair information using Tekmetric.
• Work toward an expected production level of approximately 40 billed hours per week while maintaining accurate, detail-oriented repairs.
