Job summary

Trinity Plastics Inc. in Lewistown, PA is seeking a Packer C to efficiently and accurately pack products, support quality standards, and maintain production pace in a manufacturing environment.

You will read dockets, label jobs, perform final inspections, and help ensure safe, clean work areas while meeting daily targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Legal eligibility to work in the US.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred with knowledge of production processes and quality control.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in production.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work non-standard hours as needed.
• Ability to handle job-related stress and cooperate with the team.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety regulations and monitors programs in the plant.
• Adheres to plant policies including good manufacturing practices and HACCP-like controls.
• Read docket daily and verify correct product packing according to orders.
• Label current and upcoming jobs for accuracy.
• Inspect final product using quality checks and document issues.
• Complete quality bag checks every fifteen minutes.
• Maintain pace with production targets and keep area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred with knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in the production process.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering production workplace interactions

Job Responsibilities

• Complies with, monitors, and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department.
• Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures, encompassing good manufacturing policy, hazard analysis, and critical control points processes.
• Read docket daily and all order changes to ensure the proper product is being packed.
• Label for the current job as well as upcoming job changes to ensuring accuracy.
• Inspect final product using quality checks, ensuring proper documentation and timely communication of any issues.
• Complete proper quality bag checks every fifteen minutes
• Demonstrate the capability to maintain pace with the production process and achieve daily production targets while also ensuring cleanliness in the designated area.
• Other duties as assigned.
