Job summary

NYU Langone Health’s Family Health Centers at NYU Langone is seeking a Teacher Aide to assist the teaching team with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons for young children. The role supports a team-based learning environment, encourages parent involvement, and helps maintain a clean, organized classroom while following health and safety protocols.

The candidate should have a High School diploma, a warm, caring personality, and the ability to work well with others.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Warm, caring, and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others and build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Previous experience preferred; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom and ensure safety and wellbeing of children.
• Supervise children and respond to supervision inputs as directed.
• Support parent involvement and communicate with caregivers as needed.
• Follow CACFP guidelines for feeding and daily routines.
