NYU Langone Health is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher for Brooklyn with a Monday–Friday schedule. The role supports Head Teacher in lesson planning and offers a supportive, caring classroom environment for young children.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, CDA or higher Early Childhood education degree, and strong teamwork and bilingual abilities. Experience in childcare and health-and-safety training are preferred.

• Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years experience in childcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Teacher in Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons.
• Work with a team to provide stimulating environment and activities.
• Encourage parent involvement; hold parent conferences.
• Set individual goals and record anecdotal observations for each child.
• Keep room clean and help with toileting.
• Follow daily schedule and provide outdoor playtime for children twice a day when weather permitting.
