Job summary

North Central Mental Health Services, Inc. seeks a Crisis Care Coordinator to cover national 988 directed calls and support crisis response efforts. Shifts are on-site with weekend hours scheduled as needed, and paid Suicide Prevention training is provided.

• May train other Suicide & Lifeline employees or provide silent monitoring of calls during active sessions.

Job description

North Central operates the largest 988 Call Center in Ohio. People struggling with mental health crises can call 988, a new, national hotline number focused on providing lifesaving suicide prevention and crisis services. The 988 network is made up of over 200 call centers nationwide receiving calls, chats and texts from people in crisis connectingcallers with specialists trained to assist with mental health crises, including psychotic symptoms and substance abuse.

Our Crisis Care Coodinator position is non-exempt, full-time (40 hours weekly) reporting to the 988 Suicide Prevention Services Director. Work week availability is required 7-days, Sunday through Saturday.This means you can be scheduled to work any day of the week, including weekends. Shifts will be completed on site. Must successfully complete required training post onboarding.

• 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (2 positions open)
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. (3 positions open)
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. (1 position open)

Rate of pay is $22.00 hourly. Training is required and provided.

Key Functions

• Provide coverage for national 988 directed calls to our call center during shift hours weekly (40 hours); will include weekend hours either on a rotational basis or permanently scheduled, if preferred.
• May including initiating and responding to emergency service departments such as fire, police or social service organizations to assist survivors and execute trauma-informed crisis stabilization techniques.
• May actively participate in training other Suicide & Lifeline employees or provide silent monitoring of calls during active sessions.
• Report issues requiring resolution through electronic means, as necessary.
