Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Systems Analyst II for the IS Clinical Applications team to support clinical applications that enable patient care and healthcare operations.
Work with clinicians, operational leaders, vendors, and technical teams to analyze requirements, implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support technology initiatives. This role offers a remote/onsite hybrid model with some onsite work required.
The IS Clinical Applications team is seeking a Systems Analyst II to support clinical applications that enable patient care and healthcare operations. This role partners with clinicians, operational leaders, vendors, and technical teams to analyze requirements, implement system enhancements, troubleshoot application issues, and support technology initiatives. Responsibilities include application support, testing, reporting, interface management, user training, documentation, system upgrades, and workflow optimization. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills while delivering secure, reliable, and effective technology solutions. This is a remote/onsite hybrid position; some onsite work is required.
Analyses business needs, defines requirements, develops solutions, implements, manages, and supports systems. Ability to work flexible schedules to meet job requirements; requires 24/7 on call after-hours support.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required.
Licensure Requirement: (not specified)
ITIL certification or training, preferred.
Strong skills in SQL programming, relational database management, reporting software tools and MS Excel, preferred. Strong skills in data management systems and extensive spreadsheet, database and presentation graphics knowledge are preferred. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project) required. Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with external contacts, administrators, medical staff, and employees at all levels. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills. Ability to quickly learn, adapt and work with new applications or tools. Able to be a visionary and see the larger picture.
5 years of combined experience providing information technology support, or equivalent education, required. Experience in a healthcare environment, required. Business and financial experience, preferred.
