Job summary

PCL Construction is seeking an Electrical Journeyman in Phoenix, AZ to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. The role requires reading electrical and instrumentation drawings, conduit work up to 4-inch rigid steel, and NFPA70E/NEC compliance.

Schedule is Monday–Saturday, 10 hours per day; compensation is $35/hour (unlicensed) or $36/hour (licensed).

Qualifications

• Completion of an apprenticeship program with classroom instruction and on-the-job training.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical components and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and challenging terrains.
• Experience in industrial or commercial electrical work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installing conduits including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel.
• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
• Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC's, instruments, and junction boxes).
• Read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
• Start up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required.
• Have a basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC.
• Ensuring all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and codes.

Job Overview: The Electrician position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Responsibilities may also include the installation of electrical control systems and manual labor tasks related to electrical work. Additionally, the Electrician will be required to complete necessary reports and forms related to safety and project progress.

Position available in Phoenix, AZ

Compensation: $35 / hour Unlicensed and $36 Licensed
