Job summary

Pafford Medical Services in Oklahoma is seeking entry level 911 Call Takers/Dispatchers for the Central Oklahoma Pafford Communications Center. The center handles 911 and non-emergency ambulance requests for Canadian and Oklahoma Counties and supports Pafford EMS ground operations around the clock.

We provide full training for entry level applicants; strong communication, teamwork and composure under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• EMT certification preferred.
• Work or volunteer experience involving public contact via telephone, computer use and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and handle multiple emergency and administrative calls for assistance.
• Process requests for emergency and non-emergency ambulance service, following procedures and using reference materials.
• Identify caller issues and determine appropriate level of response.
• Summarize critical information for responders using standard grammar and procedures.
• Operate computer databases and search resources as needed.
• Receive and transmit information by radio and telephone; relay it to appropriate agencies.
