Qualifications

• One year (1) experience in emergency dispatch or related fast-paced environment preferred.
• Must pass a skills test with accuracy and speed under stress.

Responsibilities

• Answer and prioritize both emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units and relay incident information.
• Access confidential databases and operate CAD and 9-1-1 systems.
• Coordinate mutual aid with neighboring agencies during emergencies.
• Maintain contact information for city departments and emergency services.
• Operate and maintain dispatch software and communications equipment.
