Job summary

Sikeston Public Schools is seeking a dedicated head athletic coach for the Junior High Extra Duty program. The role involves guiding the development of the coaching area through planning, evaluation, and implementation of athletic programs while aligning with district policies.

You will coordinate practice sessions, supervise staff, manage budgets and equipment, and ensure compliance with Missouri State High School Activities Association rules during all interscholastic activities.

Qualifications

• Certification Missouri Teacher Certificate.
• Experience of at least five years in teaching in public or private schools.
• Must pass a background check and drug test per Board of Education.
• Must hold a teaching assignment in the Sikeston R6 Schools.

Responsibilities

• Lead athletic coaching for junior high program under High School Athletic Director.
• Plan and conduct practices and team meetings, ensure safety and rule compliance.
• Maintain roster, equipment and budget records, and prepare public information releases.
• Coordinate with coaches, officials, and district offices for events and requirements.
