Job summary

The Academy of Charter Schools Inc in Westminster, Colorado seeks a Long-Term Substitute Science Teacher for 8th grade for the second semester of the 2026–2027 school year (February–May 2027). The substitute will collaborate with staff to uphold a rigorous, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements include a 4-year Bachelor Degree and strong classroom management and communication skills. Compensation is a $190 daily rate with a standard 40-hour work week under assignment.

• 4-year Bachelor Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans to ensure optimal learning.
• Assign classwork and homework as necessary according to lesson plans.
• Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.
• Work with parents, students and staff in a friendly customer service manner.
• Supervision of students in various settings (learning centers, cafeteria, etc.).
• Follow typical substitute work hours based on campus location.
• Other duties as assigned.
