Qualifications

• CSDE CT Long-Term Substitute Authorization may be applied for if not certified but with Bachelor’s degree and 12 credits in the content area.
• Preference for Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL with Sheltered Instruction or other language fluency will be given.

Responsibilities

• Replace the regular teacher on daily or long-term basis and continue all learning activities.
• Communicate with students and maintain a positive classroom climate in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Communicate with the classroom teacher being replaced and report progress and issues from assigned lessons.
