Job summary

The Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe, NM seeks an 8th grade math teacher for either 0.4 FTE or 1.0 FTE, eager to design 60- and 90-minute lessons that meet middle schoolers’ developmental needs.

This position emphasizes rigorous, college-prep instruction, with strong collaboration and use of Canvas, Remind, DeansList, and PowerSchool, plus a commitment to equity and personalized learning.

Qualifications

• All faculty must be licensed to teach in New Mexico and endorsed in the subject area.
• Experience with middle school students and supporting belonging in the classroom and school community.
• Proficiency with digital tools for the classroom, including Google Suite, Canvas (LMS) and PowerSchool.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum development and implementation for all assigned courses; canvas courses updated weekly for stakeholders.
• Assessment design and analysis; use informal and formal assessments to inform progress; grades updated weekly.
• Advisory/College Crew planning and implementation to support college and career readiness.
