Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• General Distribution Center work (picking, packing, material handling, induction, etc.).
• Maintain minimum performance standards while performing required job functions.
• Must have the ability to perform the job with the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Must have the flexibility to work in any General Warehouse function (anywhere in the building, any channel, at any time during the shift).
• The ability to use RF equipment, voice picking technology, pick to light and other warehouse management systems.
• The ability to use basic computer functions as needed.
• Must have the ability to be certified on lift equipment if required.
• Must have the ability to work safely and abide by Carter’s Safety rules and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS-MINIMUM COMPENTENCIES REQUIRED FOR JOB

• Basic working knowledge of computers, RF Scanners and Warehouse Management systems.
• Proven team member with skills to multi-task.
• Proficient reading skills.
• Must have the ability to abide by all of Carter’s policies and procedures, specifically the attendance policy.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or a GED preferred, not required. Six months automated distribution center experience preferred.

PHYSICAL and Work DEMANDS

• Must be able to repetitively lift cases weighing up to fifty pounds.
• Must be able to stand and work for long periods including daily overtime, holidays and overtime as required.
• Must be able to work consecutive days during peak season.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures.
• Holiday schedule to be decided by Management.
• Comply with blackout periods as determined by Management.
