Job summary

Davenport Community Schools is seeking a dedicated 7th Grade Volleyball Coach responsible for overseeing all phases of the volleyball program, from planning to instruction. Candidates must hold a valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Teaching License with a Coaching Endorsement and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while supporting a diverse student body. The role includes supervision of players, communication with high school coaching staff, and ensuring a supportive athletic environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with Coaching Endorsement.
• Experience with competition/success at the state level is desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of all phases of the volleyball program and planning.
• Responsible for care and issuance of volleyball equipment used by the team.
• Supervise players at all practices and games, as well as in the locker room and on the bus.
