Job summary

The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking a data-driven and culturally responsive 7th Grade Math Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction at our Tucson campus.

Located at 434 W. Lerdo Rd, Tucson, AZ 85706, this full-time on-site position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a pathway to ongoing professional development in a high-performing K–8 charter network. Start date July 20, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field OR Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
• Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Demonstrate commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
• Show strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction.
• Demonstrate collaboration, initiative, and adaptability in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math instruction using AMS curriculum and instructional frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to support students at varying levels.
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction to maximize student growth.
• Foster PBIS and create a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes accountability and success.
