Job summary

Capac Jr.-Sr. High School is seeking a 7th Grade Girls Basketball Assistant Coach for immediate start. This part-time role supports the high school athletic program for the 2026-2027 season, reporting to the Athletic Director/Dean of Students.

Candidates should have coaching/leadership capacity, strong communication, and be ready to assist with off-season training and conditioning. The position requires ability to work with diverse student-athletes, promote school spirit, and maintain

• Previous Coaching experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication
• Supervisory and sports management
• Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
• Maintain open communication with parents, student-athletes, and community, and provide appropriate information.
• Teach fundamental skills and team concepts of basketball.
• Help plan, organize, and execute off-season, summer, and pre-season training and preparation programs; knowledge of strength and conditioning.
• Interact with student-athletes of different ages and abilities positively and professionally, promoting character and integrity.
• Motivate, guide, and mentor student-athletes.
• Promote school spirit.
• Work collaboratively with all staff, students, and parents.
• Perform the physical demands of the position, including sitting, standing, extensive walking, twisting, talking, seeing, and hearing; may lift up to 50 lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
