Job summary

Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Staten Island, NY is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The role focuses on maximizing independence through purposeful activities, assessments, and interventions to support health and daily living skills for residents.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, education for individuals and families, and development of sensory-motor and cognitive skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess current state license in good standing with the State Board.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to Communicate Accurately and Precisely to Patients and Family Members.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Occupational Therapist Job Summary:

The Occupational therapist uses purposeful activities or interventions to maximize the independence and the maintenance of health of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, a mental illness, a developmental or learning disability, or an adverse environmental condition. The occupational therapist uses skilled observation or the administration and interpretation of standardized or non-standardized tests and measurements to identify areas for occupational therapy services.
