Job description

Due to professional advancement, Hershey Public Schools is seeking a strong and student-centered leader to serve as our 7–12 Principal.

We are proud to be a Cognia Accredited School and were recently named an “Excellent” district through Nebraska’s AQuESTT system. Our community strongly supports our school, as demonstrated by the recent passage of our bond issue. This investment has provided updated, high-quality facilities, including a new Activity Center addition, that enhances learning, activities, and opportunities for students. Our next principal will have the opportunity to lead in a district that is growing, improving, and moving forward.

We are seeking a visible, collaborative leader who will:

  • Promote high academic expectations
  • Support and develop staff
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and the community
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and student-focused school culture

Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a Nebraska Administrative Certificate with the appropriate endorsement. Secondary leadership experience is preferred.

Additional Information

Hershey Public Schools will offer the 7–12 Principal a highly competitive starting salary based on experience and qualifications. This is a 200-day contract beginning on or around July 15 and continuing through May 31 each year. The position includes a comprehensive benefits and leave package including full family health and dental insurance coverage and participation in the Nebraska Public Employees Retirement System (NPERS).
