Job summary

Academies of Math and Science seeks a data-driven 6th Grade Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in Tucson, AZ. This on-site position requires delivering standards-aligned math instruction, differentiating for diverse learners, and using data to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field.
• Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area.
• Pass background checks and obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Demonstrate collaboration, initiative and adaptability in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous mathematics instruction aligned to AMS curriculum and differentiates for all levels.
• Use assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to maximize growth.
• Participate in weekly professional development and PLCs with colleagues and leaders.
• Communicate with families regarding student progress and goals; lead conferences.
• Implement PBIS and foster a positive, structured classroom culture.
