Broadway Academy at Mount Pleasant in Cleveland, Ohio, part of ACCEL Schools, seeks a 6th–8th grade ELA/Social Studies Teacher. You will deliver engaging lessons, differentiate instruction, keep accurate progress records, and foster a positive classroom culture that supports student learning and social‑emotional growth.

The candidate must hold an Ohio teaching license and a bachelor’s degree in education, with urban‑education experience preferred.

Formación

• Active Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Ability to work in a growth‑focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds of students.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in non‑instructional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
