Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Utility (3rd Shift) to support Maintenance Mechanics in repairing and maintaining machinery, plumbing and electrical systems at our facility in Tennessee.

The role requires basic experience, the ability to read simple words, follow instructions, and maintain dependable attendance. Ford Truck Certification is preferred and long hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience of 6 months to 1 year preferred.
• Ability to read simple words; English literacy required.
• Ability to follow simple instructions with standard variables.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work non-standard hours.
• Ability to manage job-related stress and interact productively.
• Ford Truck Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist other maintenance personnel as required; furnish materials, tools and supplies.
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks such as grease, lube, check and add fluids, clean and/or change filters.
• Use hand and power tools, electric drills, presses and grinders to perform maintenance tasks.
• Bend, cut, and thread pipe, cut openings in walls, ceilings and trim of building.
• Clear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures.
• Abide by safety, environmental and plant rules; keep good housekeeping at all times.
• Perform other duties to support department and plant needs.

TITLE: Utility (3rd Shift)

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Assists Maintenance Mechanics in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems of industrial establishment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six months to one year experience and/or training preferred


• Language skills: ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. English is the primary spoken and written language of the facility.


• Reasoning ability: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables


• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.


• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.


• Ford Truck Certification preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
