Job summary

Chart-Industries in Tulsa, OK designs and fabricates cryogenic equipment. This weld position performs fabricating, welding, repairs, reads blueprints, and supports safety and production across shifts.

The role requires 2–4 years of welding experience, ability to read shop drawings, operate a 2G MIG root with flux, and lift up to 75 lbs. Chart offers a comprehensive benefits package and full-time employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
• Ability to operate overhead-crane.
• Familiarity with welding machines and hand tools.
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Ability to work under general supervision.
• Ability to work different shifts.
• Ability to pass 2G MIG root with flux fill and cap.
• Ability and willingness to learn to operate basic cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
• Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
• Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Promotes and supports safety and production.
• Makes quality visual UT and x-ray welds.
