Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a 6G Stick Welder to perform welding on pipe sections from ¾" to 18", primarily 2"–6", for critical refrigeration components. The role requires setup, fit, and open-root welding with strict adherence to safety standards.

Schedule is Mon–Fri 7AM–5:30PM and Sat 7AM–3:30PM, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth within a fast-expanding company serving North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• Must pass a 6G SMAW weld test on 2" schedule 80 steel (uphill weld, 45-degree).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Familiar with rigging, torch cutting, grinder and wire wheel operation, and measurement tools.
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious worker.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe ¾"–18" diameter, primarily 2"–6".
• Weld on critical components (compressors, vessels, condensers, etc.).
• Cut, bevel, and fit pipe accurately.
• Set up and perform open root welding (no insert).
• Meet welding productivity targets (e.g., 50 diameter inches in 8 hours).
• Assist with insulation, electrical, and painting tasks as needed.
