Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Single Hand Welder in North Dakota to join our team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and capable of passing a 6G welding test.

This role focuses on welding pipes in all positions while ensuring high-quality, structurally sound welds. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, interpreting welding symbols, and maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass a 6G SMAW welding test prior to employment.
• Minimum 3 years of welding experience (pipe welding preferred).
• Proficiency in welding techniques including SMAW; TGAW a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW welding on various materials, primarily carbon pipe welding in the 6G position.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company policies.
• Inspect and test welds to maintain quality control.
• Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
• Work in a variety of environments, including cold weather, confined spaces or elevated positions.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
