Job summary

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent carpet manufacturer in Glasgow, Virginia, is seeking Machine Operators. The role offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits, with a contract-to-hire pathway after a 90-day period if qualified.

The operator will ensure creel yarn supply meets yardages, monitor the creel, and respond to quality issues while working in a team and adhering to SOPs and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods of time
• Background check
• Drug Screen

Responsibilities

• Keep creel yarn supply to meet assigned yardages
• Patrol creel and keep yarn running
• Observe the creel and stop the machine if any quality issues (breakouts, defective packages, small packages)
• Work within a team environment
• Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process
• Attend job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Machine Operator- Job Summary:

• $18.03 per hour + 2nd or 3rd (Shift Diff.)
• Responsible for keeping the creel yarn supply to meet the assigned yardages.
• Patrol creel and keep yarn running
• Observe the creel, stop the machine should any quality issues such as breakouts, defective packages, small packages, etc.
• Work within a team environment.
• Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
