Job summary

A Nanny Match is seeking a highly experienced live-in/rotational nanny for a long-term role in New York City's SOHO area. The position offers a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule with 8:00 am to 8:00 pm shifts, including occasional overnights and travel to CT and Palm Beach, FL, to support the family.

The ideal candidate is infant-focused, Montessori-/ECE-savvy, highly reliable, and a strong team player who can travel domestically and abroad while maintaining a calm, nurturing home environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time nanny experience with infants/toddlers.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally.
• Local to NYC, within commuting distance from Soho.
• Experience with high-net-worth families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the well-being and development of the child.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and support milestones.
• Bottle feeding, sterilization, diapering, and hygiene.
• Maintain nap/eating schedules and child laundry.
• Walks, reading, singing, indoor/outdoor play, and meals.
• Bedtime routines, travel between homes, and school drop-offs.
• Keep home spaces tidy and restock child items.

Job description

Location: SOHO, NYC

Child’s age: 10 months old

Start date: As soon as the family finds the right fit

General Schedule:

• 7 days on and 7 days off
• 8:00 am – 8:00 pm

Travel: Frequent stays at the family’s Connecticut and Florida homes, as well as occasional domestic and international travel. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided for the nanny.

Overnights: Flexibility for approximately 1-3 nights per week in the city while on rotation. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided for the nanny.

The Ideal Candidate:

• This position is ideal for a highly experienced, professional nanny seeking a steady, long-term ROTA role with a family in which they can thrive – someone with a warm and positive attitude who can bring a sense of calm to the home
• A nanny with significant experience working with infants and toddlers, who is knowledgeable about children’s development & genuinely loves caring for them
• Flexible with scheduling and with the other ROTA nanny – a team player mindset

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Everything relating the well-being of the child
• Plan and actively engage the child in fun, age-appropriate activities
• Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones
• Bottle feedings and sterilization of the baby’s equipment
• Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygieneMaintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules
• Child’s laundry
• Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag
• Walks, reading, singing, indoor and outdoor play
• Cooking and meal preparation for the child
• Bedtime and bathtime routines
• Eventual school pick-up and drop-offs, and taking the child to activities and playdates
• Keeping the home’s main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy
• Frequent stays in the family’s home in Connecticut and Palm Beach, FL.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of full-time nanny experience with relevant age groups
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• 2-3 relevant references
• Able to travel domestically and internationally
• Local to NYC and resides within a reasonable commuting distance from Soho
• Prior experience working with high-net-worth families preferred
• Working knowledge of the Montessori method and Early Childhood Education is preferred

Compensation:

Approximately $44/hour gross, depending on experience, credentials, flexibility, and overall fit. Overtime is paid for hours worked over 40 per week. The position guarantees 84 hours per rotation, with estimated annualized base compensation starting at approximately $120,000+, before additional overtime pay, overnight and travel compensation, and benefits.

Benefits:

• Major holidays will rotate annually between the two ROTA nannies. When a major holiday is worked, compensation will be paid at 1.5x the regular rate. The family is open to accommodating important personal or religious observances with advance notice, whenever possible.
