DeRoyal Industries, Inc. is hiring Injection Mold Operators for the Royal Precision Plastics Team in Powell, TN. The position offers 12-hour shifts, from 7 to 7 with an alternating schedule and every other weekend.
A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for new hires, along with medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, and 401(k) with a 4% match. The role focuses on testing, inspecting and packaging to support efficient molding operations.

We currently have a 1st shift opportunity available. These are 12-hour shifts with an alternating schedule and working hours are 7 to 7. The alternating work week schedule includes every other weekend (36 hours one week/48 hours the next).

Perform various duties such as testing, inspecting and packaging to ensure and promote the efficient and productive functioning of injection molding machines by performing the following duties.

Conduct operations in accordance with safety requirements.
Inspect products using pin gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and Smart Scope, Hydrodynamic tester and vacuum tester.
Completely and accurately documents test results.
Releases, packages and palettizes products for shipment.
Ensures and documents that assigned machines are operating within established parameters and that products conform to established specifications.
Maintains adequate raw materials, packing supplies and labels on hand at the machines.
Ensures manufacturing work instructions are followed by properly completing process/product checklists accurately and legibly.
Make necessary data, scrap and downtime entries.
Maintains a clean work area and follows proper safety, quality, production and company procedures.
Arrives at work on time and complies with company attendance and tardiness policies.
Possesses the ability to get along with co-workers, customers, and company visitors.
Obeys all rules and performs any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; or less than high school education with 3 to 6 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to operate a forklift and computer preferred.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Due to the nature of the material being used in the facility, most jewelry, false fingernails and fingernail polish (even clear coat) are prohibited. Hair nets are required while doing certain operations. Protective eyewear is required to be worn at all times when entering the molding work environment.
This position is considered medium work.
