Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks an experienced registered nurse for a temporary 60-90 day assignment in the Emergency Department. The role requires night shifts, direct patient care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You must maintain Michigan RN licensure and have 2+ years of acute care experience. Work is 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period) across a 56-112 day assignment, with the possibility of working across departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate greater than 2 years of related nursing work experience in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department during night shift hours.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring throughout shifts.
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, technicians, and support staff.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical patient needs.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Manage equipment, supplies, and resources efficiently within the clinical environment.
• Communicate compassionately with patients and families regarding care plans and procedures.
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled.
• Commit to working 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period) for the duration of the 56-112 day assignment.
