Responsibilities

  • Works with small groups and individual students.
  • Supervises students in lunchroom, playground, and at bus pick up zones as directed by the Principal.
  • Understands curriculum, student behavior procedures, and learning problem methods.
  • Supervises students on field trips and students on buses.
  • Assists students with make-up work when they’ve been absent.
  • Prepares and displays bulletin boards as directed by teachers.
  • Prepares, organizes and duplicates instructional materials.
  • Dispenses, collects and organizes materials for instruction.
  • Corrects student papers, tests, workbooks and homework.
  • Listens to children’s written work as they read it orally.
  • Inputs grades on computer.
  • Assists students with typing and printing on computers.
  • Attends appropriate staff development activities offered by the district.
  • Prepares supplies for art projects; mounts and displays artwork.
  • Tests student skills individually.
  • Prepares certificates of accomplishment.
  • Prepares for music and class programs.
  • Monitors mainstream students in classrooms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.

  • Prepares supplies for art projects; mounts and displays artwork.
  • Tests student skills individually.
  • Prepares certificates of accomplishment.

  • Monitors mainstream students in classrooms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
