Job summary

Rantoul City Schools seeks a 5th Grade Teacher at Broadmeadow Elementary to begin as soon as possible. The role will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to Common Core, assess student progress, and collaborate with a supportive team to foster positive learning environments.

Starting salary ranges from 56,250 to 107,890.08 annually, commensurate with experience and degree level. The district offers professional support, instructional coaches, and a commitment to small class sizes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Education) or related field.
• Illinois Teaching Certificate.
• Understanding of curriculum design, planning and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in a variety of school settings.
• Monitors and evaluates student outcomes.
• Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans to meet all students' needs.
• Plans instruction based on Common Core State Standards.
• Administers informal and formal assessments.
• Maintains accurate records for instructional and non-instructional purposes.
• Demonstrates knowledge of child development and effective instructional strategies.
• Communicates with families and participates in district and building committees.
