Job summary
Rantoul City Schools invites applications for a Special Education Teacher at Broadmeadow Elementary School for the 2025/26 school year. Starting date is August 13, 2025, with a minimum starting salary of $52,205.70 and a maximum of $98,800.44 based on experience and degree level.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Special Education or related field and an Illinois Teaching Certificate. The teacher will develop and provide specialized instruction, manage IEPs, and work with a multidisciplinary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Special Education) or related field. Illinois Teaching Certificate.
- Understanding and experience with curriculum design, planning and instruction.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives.
- Functions as IEP Manager to assigned students.
- Must have working knowledge of state and federal Special Education Law.
- Understands and complies with policies regarding education of students receiving Special Education Services.
- Coordinate instructions with other teachers of the school.
- Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
