Job summary

Illinois Education Job Bank is seeking a dedicated 5th Grade Teacher for Broadmeadow Elementary in Illinois. The teacher will plan and provide learning experiences aligned with the Common Core standards, monitor student outcomes, and administer assessments.

Under the supervision of the Building Principal or Director, the candidate will develop instructional materials, manage classroom routines, communicate with families, and participate in district committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.
• Illinois Teaching Certificate required.
• Strong communication skills (written & oral).

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in various school settings.
• Monitors and evaluates student outcomes.
• Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet all students' needs.
• Monitors use and care of equipment and facilities.
• Plans and provides instruction based on Common Core State Standards.
• Administers informal and formal assessments.
• Implements district initiatives within instruction.
• Evaluates and assesses student progress against objectives.
• Maintains accurate records for instructional and non-instructional purposes.
• Manages classroom organization.
• Communicates with families and community.
• Works with administration to schedule meetings.
• Participates in district and building committees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
