Job summary

Distinctive Schools seeks a 5th Grade Teacher for a maternity leave placement at CICS Lloyd Bond, Chicago. You will deliver standards-aligned instruction and maintain strong relationships with students and families.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid Illinois teaching license or be enrolled in a certification program within 30 days. Start date is January 2027; regular full-time role with starting salary of $70,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Illinois Professional Educator License or enrollment in certification program within 30 days of employment.
• Content Area Endorsement.
• Proficient with cloud based software solutions (Google Suite).
• Willingness to travel for training, professional development, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement the DS Model and grade-level instruction with alignment to standards.
• Assess students daily and adjust instruction based on data and progress.
• Maintain organized records of student progress and communicate with families.
• Participate in required professional development and campus meetings.
