Job summary

The teacher will deliver DLI instruction, collaborate with an English-speaking colleague, and create engaging lessons aligned to the Utah Core Standards across subjects.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Utah teaching license or be eligible for licensure.
• Must be fluent in Chinese and pass an Advanced-Mid OPI/OPIc.
• Must obtain World Language Endorsement in Chinese within three years.
• Must obtain Dual Immersion Endorsement within three years.

Responsibilities

• Teach Utah Core State Standards in all subject areas.
• Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum to meet student needs.
• Use computers and other technology to support instruction.
• Maintain classroom organization and discipline.
• Establish standards of student behavior and a safe learning environment.
• Communicate with parents through conferences and regular updates.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure high levels of learning for all students.
