We are deploying infrastructure for 5G Networks. A telecommunications startup focused on efficient and strategic support to the nationwide 5G deployment, helping OEMs and operators achieve enhanced connectivity for their networks.
The field integration technician will be responsible for new and existing technology integrations into the network, including LTE & 5G integrations according to site requirements. The technician will work with the construction crew on site to complete the job scope. Installation may also be required alongside commissioning and integration tasks.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and integrate new LTE equipment from Nokia, including decommissioning and removing old equipment from the site.
- Coordinate tasks with integration engineers and perform related tasks as part of a growing team.
- Have 1-2+ years of experience working at telecommunications sites, including BTS/radio installation, fiber, telco, light electrical, etc. Experience with Nokia LTE & 5G equipment installation, commissioning, and integration is required.
- Must have experience with Nokia BTS manager.
- Experience with T-Mobile equipment is preferred.
- Experience with NSN Multi-Flexi System & Airscale modules and radios.
- Perform commissioning & integration of UMTS, GSM, LTE, and NR radio technologies.
- Handle installations such as circuit breakers, GPS kits, LAN connections, and CPRI fibers.
- Understand IP and cable routing.
- Mount and unmount cabinets, racks, and hardware.
- Use a fiber scope for installation and troubleshooting.
- Possess knowledge related to project management, radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services.
- Have excellent computer skills.
- Candidates with a PTID and experience in Nokia LTE & 5G equipment installation and commissioning are especially encouraged to apply.
- Must own a vehicle, basic tools for wireless site work, a laptop, and a cell phone. Ability to work outdoors is required.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field preferred; high school diploma and relevant experience considered.
- NOKIA Certifications.
- Professional representation of the company.
- Availability to work within maintenance window hours (midnight to 6 am) or daytime as scheduled and reliably adhere to schedules.
- Willingness to travel regionally or out of market on projects.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, using technical skills to execute responsibilities and solve problems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a 12 ft ladder.
- Proficiency in computer use and MS Office.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic hand tools.
