Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to join the Wireless R&D group working on a Test Base Station for 5G/6G verification.

You will develop and verify complex wireless systems in C++ on Linux, contributing to high-performance multi-threaded software in a fast-moving CI environment. You will own RAN Layer 2 functionality, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive feature development from specification to deployment, optimizing latency and throughput while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field.
• 2+ years of C++ software design and development experience.
• Experience with Linux environments and multi-threaded software.
• Familiarity with 3GPP 4G/5G specs and SDAP/L2 concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own 5G/6G RAN Layer 2 responsibilities
• Drive 3GPP 5G/6G feature development from specification through commercialization
• Design and develop L2 functionality, including DL and UL channel configuration, data-plane and call flows
• Implement and optimize fixed and dynamic DL and UL channel schedulers, data-plane paths
• Interface with NodeB Layer 3 (RRC) and Layer 1 (PHY) components
• Develop real-time-sensitive, multi-core, and multi-threaded software for the NodeB
• Debug, profile, and optimize software for latency, throughput, and reliability on the target platform
