Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in San Diego to develop and verify complex wireless systems for 5G/6G TBS products. You will work on multi-threaded C++ services under Linux, contributing across MAC, RLC, PDCP, and SDAP layers.

The role emphasizes real-time, multi-core software design, performance tuning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive feature development from specification through commercialization. A BS in CS/EE is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with C++ and object-oriented concepts.
Familiarity with Linux environment and multi-core processing.

Responsibilities

Own 5G/6G RAN Layer 2 responsibilities (MAC, RLC, PDCP, SDAP).
Drive 3GPP 5G/6G feature development from spec to deployment.
Design and develop L2 functionality including DL/UL config and data-plane paths.
Implement and optimize fixed and dynamic DL/UL schedulers and data-paths.
Interface with NodeB Layer 3 (RRC) and Layer 1 (PHY) components.
Develop real-time multi-core, multi-threaded software for NodeB and optimize for latency and throughput.
