Job summary

Leech Lake Gaming is seeking a diligent Soft Count Clerk to perform daily slot counting and validate deposits, ensuring accuracy and security across the gaming floor. The role requires basic computer skills and strict adherence to internal controls.

You will work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, with flexible scheduling and a strong emphasis on confidentiality and cultural respect. Prior experience is not required, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required
• No prior experience required
• Must meet tribal licensing requirements and pass background check and drug testing

Responsibilities

• Counts and verifies casino floor revenue including Slot and Blackjack.
• Maintains neat, legible records of all soft count activity.
• Cleans and maintains computer terminal and printer.
• Keeps Softcount room clean and organized at all times.
• Utilizes coin wrapping machines.
• Processes vault coin as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the Leech Lake Gaming policies and TICs and all applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Counts and verifies casino floor revenue including Slot and Blackjack.
• Maintains neat, legible records of all soft count activity.
• Cleans and maintains computer terminal and printer.
• Keeps Softcount room clean and organized at all times.
• Utilizes coin wrapping machines.
• Processes vault coin as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong math skills
• Familiarity with count equipment
• Ability to understand and explain reports.
• Understanding of internal controls and compliance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills.

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
