Job summary

Pulaski County Special School District's Cato Elementary in North Little Rock, AR is hiring a 504 Individual Support Para (Paraprofessional) to support teachers and students with disabilities. Immediate start; open until filled. Starting date is immediate with a deadline of October 24, 2026.

The role involves one-on-one or small group instruction, behavior management, and assisting with necessary student care under supervision of a certified teacher.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and one of the following: 60 credit hours, associate degree, or passing a paraprofessional assessment.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one on one or small group instruction under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Implement behavior management techniques as directed by teacher or principal.
• Assist with physical needs including feeding, toileting, dressing, catheterization; some heavy lifting may be required.
• Administer medications and other medical supports as prescribed by the school nurse.
• Complete daily work schedules as assigned.
• Assist with classroom maintenance.
• Assist with lunchroom, recess, and bus duties as needed.
• Adhere to Board policies and district regulations.
