Brad Foote Gear Works is seeking machinists for Cicero, IL to set up, program, operate, and run complex gear machining equipment. Experience with 5-axis, milling, turning, cell cutting and hobbling is essential.

You will follow blueprints, inspect parts, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining your own basic tool set. This is a full-time, non-exempt role in a manufacturing environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of experience with machine functions and competent operation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Set-up, program, operate, and run the machine (experience with 5 axis, milling, manual turning, CNC turning, cell cutting & hobbling, tooth grinding).
• Check Route Sheet, blueprint, and sketch; install piece into machine.
• Measure rough material and divide stock to ensure 100% cleanup and check runout.
• Turn the first side per blueprint and Route Sheet; verify all dimensions and make size corrections.
• Read drawings and understand work instructions; follow barcode SOPs and operate gear hob/gasher equipment.
• Deburr, stamp, inspect, and package parts produced in the cell.
• Inform supervisor for assisted setups when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
