Job summary

A1J-Technologies-LLC in San Jose, CA is seeking a CNC Mill 5-Axis Setup/Operator to set up and run 5-axis mills, read complex drawings, and ensure tight tolerances. You will verify programs, adjust offsets, and work with engineering to optimize machining strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include first article and in-process inspections with precision tools, fixture installation, and maintaining machine and shop safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 4+ years of CNC milling experience with at least 2 years on large format 5-axis machines.
• Strong reading of blueprints and application of GD&T principles.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Experience with multi-axis machining and work holding principles.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and operate 5-axis CNC mills to produce complex parts.
• Read blueprints and GD&T specs; install fixtures and tooling.
• Load and adjust CNC programs; verify offsets and cutting conditions.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections using CMM and calipers.
• Collaborate with programming/engineering to optimize strategies; train others.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance, and keep a clean area.
