Job summary

Karman Space & Defense in Mukilteo, WA, is hiring a CNC Machinist II to support production of precision components for space and defense programs. You will set up and run CNC equipment, verify part accuracy, and ensure parts meet engineering drawings and customer specifications.

The role requires experience in machining, ability to read blueprints, and strong attention to detail. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Typically 2–5 years of machining experience with ability to operate shop tools.
• General mechanical aptitude and proficiency with measuring/setup tools.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates CNC machines to produce parts per drawings and specs.
• Loads/unloads materials, deburrs components, inspects in-process parts, assists with packaging.
• Verifies dimensional accuracy and maintains quality throughout production runs.
• Reads blueprints and uses inspection tools to validate conformity.
• Uses measuring/setup tools to ensure proper machine operation.
• Troubleshoots routine machining issues and supports workflow.
• Maintains shop cleanliness, tooling inventory, and equipment condition.
