Job summary

Mersen in the United States is seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Hurco Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has strong CNC machining experience, blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot 5-axis Hurco machining centers.

This role is responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining tight tolerances, meeting production schedules, and following established safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on with 5-axis CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to set up CNC machines independently.
• Ability to make tool offsets, wear adjustments, and basic program edits.
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, workholding, and machining processes.
• Troubleshoot machining and dimensional problems.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Hurco 5-axis CNC machining centers.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Load and verify CNC programs and adjust offsets.
• Select, install, and measure cutting tools and workholding.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust tooling and processes.
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality.
• Follow safety procedures and document production.
