Job summary

Fusion HCR is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join a growing manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and maintain 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers to produce high-precision components in a fast-paced environment.

You will troubleshoot machining issues and support safe, efficient production. Responsibilities include tool setups, offsets, inspections with precision tools, and collaboration with engineering to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience operating and setting up 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Experience with CNC machine controls and precision measuring tools.
• Strong shop math skills, including geometry and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines according to work instructions, blueprints, and manufacturing plans.
• Perform machine startups, tooling setups, offsets, and program adjustments as needed.
• Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and CMMs.
• Monitor product quality, replace worn tooling, and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Complete production documentation and inspection records accurately.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and report equipment repair needs.
• Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and support special projects.
• Mentor less experienced machinists as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
